Watching ballet in the intimate Grandel is a whole different experience! The company shows a different side with this series that features smaller ballets and creative, new choreography from a variety of sources. In the spring, former New York City Ballet dancer and repetiteur for the Balanchine Trust, Miriam Mahdaviani, choreographs a new ballet for the SLB dancers. Also featured are works by selected company members who are tapping into their choreography skills and setting pieces on the colleagues they know so well. Come see what’s “new” and “next”. No fancy costumes, sets or special effects. Just talent – up close and personal at the Grandel.
