Dining options in Grand Center Arts District

The Dark Room

The Dark Room at The Grandel, a full-service bar and restaurant, features the best in St. Louis jazz with a touch of blues and soul and a rotating photography gallery. Open for happy hour, jazz dinner, late night, and Sunday brunch, stop by for signature bites and classic cocktails on your way to see a show at The Grandel, or as you round out an evening exploring Grand Center Arts District.

Hours:
Tuesday 4pm – 10:30pm, Wednesday and Thursday 4pm – 12am, Friday and Saturday 4pm – 1am, and brunch on Sunday 10:30am – 2:30pm.

Sophie’s Artist Lounge

Sophie’s Artist Lounge features a full bar and is the ideal spot for drinks before or after a show in Grand Center Arts District. Classic or contemporary, shaken or stirred, cocktails at Sophie’s are made for patrons who love to connect, collaborate, and celebrate. Located on the second floor of .ZACK, Sophie’s hosts live music, happy hours, and special events in its intimate, plush atmosphere that includes a rooftop patio.

No reservations. First come, first served.

Open Thursdays 4pm – 8:30pm, Fridays and Saturdays 4pm – 1am.

Turn

Turn, located on the first floor of .ZACK, offers breakfast and lunch options, with a dinner menu available on weekends. Owner and chef David Kirkland uses locally-sourced ingredients to create his spin on traditional American fare. Weekly specials often include produce from Sally’s Rooftop Garden & Terrace, located atop .ZACK, and managed by Kranzberg Arts Foundation resident organization Urban Harvest STL.

Hours:
Wednesday through Sunday 9am – 3pm, and dinner Thursday through Saturday, 5pm – 9pm.

High Low

High Low features a cafe operated by Blueprint Coffee with pastries and fast-casual food service by chef Rob Connelly. Open daily from 8am to 3pm, pair your cappuccino with a scratch-made seeded biscuit with sausage gravy as you lounge in the non-lending library, or peruse the rotating gallery.

Theatre Concessions

Drinks and snacks are available for purchase in the lobby of theatre venues and may be taken into the theatres to enjoy during shows. Drink options include soda, beer, wine, and mixed drinks.
