Transitions: Food of the Youths, Ripple Wave Shadow, and Ashes

Transitions – Tasha is currently in a transition and so is her work. As she progresses from one chapter to the next in her professional life, the three bodies of work evolve in a way that displays detachment and junction simultaneously.

Food of the Youths – This photo story is a brief look at a larger series on the snacks provided to the school children near the artist’s residence. Daily, what’s left behind in the school’s field changes and becomes integrated into a new environment.

Ashes – Activated charcoal with its heaviness and its complete darkness gets manipulated by strokes of a tiny spoon on wood and marble canvases creating starkness, separation, and balance.

Ripple Wave Shadow – It is impossible to recreate the same pattern as speed, motion, thickness, and tools to develop the differences from one batch to the next. This group is a study in sacred geometry and its complexities.
